You heard it right. I was not aware there is such theme park exist. Heck, I didnt know they made their film there too! Apparently there is this recent news where Warner Bros reported to plan spending 160million to expand and refurbish the place which set to complete in year 2012 (no wait, doesn’t that sounds like end of the year?). Pun intended.
So for those of you who cant wait for the new home to open, you can still visit ‘Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ at Universal Orlando.
The theme park brings the popular ‘Harry Potter’ books and movies to life with rides, shops and detailed reproductions of the fictitious village of Hogsmeade, the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the Hogwarts Express.
The park, spread across a stretch of over 20 acres, received a long queue of guests.
Its marquee ride – ‘Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey’ – is filled with special effects as it takes guests on a flight through Harry’s life, including encounters with dementors and a dragon, and projections of characters from the film.
The park also has two roller-coasters, flight of the hippogriff and dragon challenge, as well as themed stores like Honeydukes Confectionary and Ollivander’s wand shop.
